Rep. David Wu (D-OR): Perverted Furrie, Completely Insane, and Now a Sexual Predator?

Is David Wu a 'furrie' (adults who dress up in stuffed animal costumes to have sex with other people dressed up in stuffed animal costumes)?

UPDATE (July 26) — Well that didn’t take long. David Wu has resigned.

Which makes me believe that the allegations of “unwanted sexual contact” — also known as rape — are every bit as true and serious as they sound. The investigations need to continue despite his resignation, however.

What next for Oregon?

Under state law, Democratic Gov. John Kitzhaber sets the date for a special election. There is no provision for an interim appointment.

The governor has two options. He can schedule the election within 80 days of the resignation. If he does, the parties nominate candidates according to their internal rules, such as through a convention.

He can schedule the election for 80 days or longer beyond the date of resignation. In that case, there will also be a primary election to select candidates.

Press secretary Christine Miles said Tuesday that Kitzhaber and his staff were working on a date and trying to decide which option he’ll choose.

In the case of Oregon Congressman David Wu, it seems that not only is he batshit insane, but that he’s also a sexual predator and whacko pervert.

During his reelection campaign in 2010, his constituents voted him into office for a seventh term despite the fact that most of his staff had resigned and refused to let the Congressman make any public appearances. Because they knew he  had lost his fucking mind. But that didn’t stop them from making sure he was re-elected to Congress.

And now we have allegations (considering that Nancy Pelosi has allegedly asked Wu to resign, I’m guessing those allegations are true) that Wu “sexually molested” the teenaged daughter of a close friend and campaign donor:

Pressure on Democratic Rep. David Wu to resign intensified Saturday as leaders in his own party began confronting the embattled Oregon lawmaker over allegations that he had an unwanted sexual encounter last Thanksgiving with a young California woman.

Wu spent the day in private absorbing calls from party operatives and lawmakers in Oregon and Washington, D.C. Reaction ranged from public calls for his resignation and attacks on his character to more private conversation about what’s next for Wu.

The conversations were triggered by an incident first reported by The Oregonian on Friday in which Wu was involved in an unwanted and aggressive sexual encounter with the daughter of a longtime friend and campaign donor in California during a visit over Thanksgiving…

An “unwanted sexual encounter?” Didn’t we use to call that rape?
