Bush vs Obama Deficits and Unemployment

But it's all Bush's fault, right?

And things will not be any better when the 2012 elections roll around, Which means that — if you minimize the Labor union thuggery, the ACORN voter fraud, the MSM campaigning for and promoting the Democrat agenda, and activist judges trying to invalidate election results (all on behalf of Democrats) — Obama should lose this election by at least 12 percentage points.

But he won’t. Because Democrats are blind sheep who myopically vote for any crook (see: Charlie Rangel), pervert (see: David Wu or Anthony Weiner), or moron (see: Sheila Jackson Lee) with a D behind their name. Despite that, I’m still taking bets that Gov. Rick Perry is the next President of the United States, and Obama will move on to his next job (head of the UN).

  1. I don’t think the one goes to the UN…. his star power has fallen throughout the world. Even though I think the UN is a complete waste of of time, they are aware of O’dickheads shrinkage of respect. He is not even a good figure head for them anymore. My guess is he does a bill clinton and pulls down huge money giving speeches (of course, still blaming Bush for all his woes!).

The only thing I am greatful for is his complete disdain for Texas and Texans. That alone should guarentee he stays the fuck out of my great state.

    GOD BLESS TEXAS!!

    • AMEN BROTHER!!!! :-D

      God Bless Texas!!!!

    • Civil discourse is generally free of cursing. When you swear, you detract from the point you are making.

      • …and make the rest of us STUPID !

      • Typical Leftist, circuitous, speech-suppression gimmick–give it up. I don’t care much for it, either, but the First Amendment is far more important than your librarian sensitivities.

        • That is a rather radical interpretation of the first amendment. I don’t see any congressmen making laws around here. The man was absolutely right.

P.S. Not that Congress couldn’t make a law prohibiting it. The amendment was never intended to apply to obscenity, and activist jusdges have defined it too narrowly.

        • Although I do appreciate the orginal commenter’s sentiments.

  2. I very much enjoyed D-Mac’s comment. But…do not discount the possibility of ‘the one’ becoming head of the U.N. Read Shirley Hazard’s “The Consequences of Truth.”

    • Like Satan from the “Left Behind” series…hmmm…oh well, he loses in the end anyway…

    • I agree, Hank. Within weeks of leaving the Oval Office (praying it’s in January 2013), Obama will be named the next Secretary-General of the UN. He will finally be what he already thinks he is: President of the World!

      • ….sick but he has an agenda and alot of people to pay back. He is in a position where he will be protected from our own Government for the rest of his life, enabling him to slowly dismantle Liberty and Freedom for all, from the within…… Apocalypto- Mel Gibson

  3. Secretary-General of the UN is the perfect job for him: all the perks and prestige of being a head of state, and a $200K/year salary, but it’s a useless position with no power and no responsibility, so he can spend all his time hob-nobbing with Hollywood types. He will be in heaven.

  4. This is solid proof that Bush was a disaster for America. And left Obama with a gaping hole in our economy and jobs. Bad part about this whole scenerio is that the republicans chose McCain. So going from Bush to McCain would’ve resulted in the same graph as you see above. The difference now, is that obama, turned out to be as bad if not worse than Bush.. I just hope the republicans elect a real conservative in 2012.

    Ron Paul for President.

  5. Obama did get the G.F.C. right ? Would McCain have done better ?, and if not McCain then who should the Repubs have run ?

  6. Blind faith in Tea Party orthodoxy is a worry. The principles are great but bandwagon wheels tend to fall off. Also, real conservativism and foul mouthed, aggressive comment are opposite, this loss of respect for the office of President hurts everyone.

    • Yeah, these 10 commandments are also so RADICAL! One has to be careful not to over do with the “Not Kill”, “Not steal”,”Not screw your neighbour’s wife”… nonsense… We do need to go back to the “gentle” McCain type candidates…. But wait… we already tried it, and we lost it.
How about the basic definition of insanity: doing the same thing and expecting different results? THINK man!

      • “Love thy neighbor as thyself” is truly RADICAL. We should all try it. And I agree, McCain was so wrong.

    • Riiiiight ! … “RIGHT”

    • I respect the Office of the President but the the man in it has to earn respect before he gets it.

    • But didn’t Obama call W unpatriotic? It would seem all bets are off after that.

  7. [...] But he won’t. 8. 0bama is ok as a person BUT HE STANK AS A PRES

    • Obama is an ok person…..you must be kidding…he is out to destroy our country and do you think that is
      ok

      • I get offended by intemperate language when it is used by liberals, so it works both ways. I prefer argument to personal attacks because it’s more productive.

      • you “guys” (gop), give obama hell when he wanted/needed to raise the debt ceiling limit…????? Bush did it 3 times !!!??? sob reagan did it 11-12 times right??? hypocrites. GOP will be america’s downfall…..corp. greed and their war machine budget. stinking f___ing liars.

        • Get a job, get off welfare, and shut the fuck up!

        • So if Øbama thought that of W six years ago and he has run over a trillion a year annual budget deficits each year since he got elected, what does that make Øbama besides unpatriotic? It makes him an unrepentant destroyer of our nation and idiotic fuckwads like you cheer him on.

        • What a fucking hypocrite he is…

        • Indeed and idiotic Øbamabots kiss his ass and claim it tastes like arugula.

  9. Why do we need the UN….lets shut it down or stop financing it altogether ……hey we are broke,, and the UN is broken…….makes sense to shut it down////

  10. When the ship is sinking, adding more water won’t help – which is exactly what Obama’s policies have done (stimulus, Obamacare, the fight over the Bush tax rates). Democrats are stuck with a failed agenda – but they apparently don’t know it because of being beholden to special interests that “take” but don’t “give.” The GOP is the reverse – give the “rich” a tax break and that money is invested or buys a corporate jet, which in turn employs people with salary and benefits. It’s not rocket science. The democrats picked a prom date that suddenly ain’t turning out so well, but you got the tux, the flowers and limo, so you kinda have to go to the dance.

    • Does nobody in the states know anything about the broken country that Obama was handed? The stimulus was going forward whether Obama liked it or not and he had no choice in the matter. Obamacare? Really? He makes an intelligent decision to try and move your country forward with universal healthcare that every other first world country has, and you skewer him for it? He’s only trying to bring the US up to the level every other country was at twenty years ago. I find it humorous that nice people in the states will give you the shirts off their backs if your in trouble, but won’t pay a little extra taxes to help an unknown person pay for their desperately needed surgeries and medicines.
The US doesn’t need to tax the rich or the poor, what they need to do is tax consumption like the Canadians and the EU. Problem solved.

      • I don’t mind paying “a little extra taxes” for those that want to work and are having hard times. What I DO have a problem with is people that just suck up the system and take and take and make a living off of how much they can lie and suck the system dry with no care in the world to work or try to get work and live off government housing and teach their kids to take and be lazy and should I go on?
Anyone can see this clearly and THAT is ruining our country. Help is fine but limits should be set instead of creating a welfare state where the entitled seem to think they are owed without ever giving anything back.
The U.K. is a great example. All those people living off the Dole and taking government assistance and doing nothing but bitching because they want more. Pathetic.

        • Under our system of government, there is no right to any kind of handout from the government. If you are having a hard time, then family and church, and friends used to help. Not any more. Everyone has their hand out for a freebie, and get mad if you don’t give it to them. If you don’t work, you shouldn’t eat! Least ways thats what the bible says.

        • This is Reagan’s idea of a “safety net”. It may, indeed, be against the Federal constitution (ouside DC), but there are 50 states in the union, and each one has a different constitution.

      • No, the stimulus was not under discussion until Øbummer got elected and the donks knew they could do anything they wanted since they controlled Congress and the presidency. Which they proceeded to do, by passing the highly unpopular stimulus and ØbummerCare, leading to the majority of people being outraged by the actions of this Congress and administration and the massive repudiation of their policies in the 2010 elections.
Our economy was damaged, not broken, and was due in large part to the actions and inactions of the Congress which had been controlled by the donks since Jan 2007. President Bush tried to get Congress to take action on Freddie/Fannie the entire time he was in office, including 17 urgent requests in 2008 alone, but the donks, such as Barney Frank and Chris Dodd said no, they are just fine. We all know what happened next when the folly of those GSEs collapsed with the sub-prime loans.
You think ØbummerCare is about Universal Health Care? That’s just silly. You obviously haven’t bothered to read about it and how destructive it is to the average American citizen.

      • Did you ever notice that all the demoncrats sound just like squawking parrots when it comes to why Obozo is failing” Awk, George Bush, George Bush ! Awk”.

      • I live in a country with socialized medicine, one with a better system than the Canadian/British mess Obama is aiming towards. But I wouldn’t wish even that on the US. The US is the world’s safety valve for socialized medicine. If the US goes that way, where will people go?

      • Where do you live? (I live in Israel.) I would like to know what sort of horrible system you are wishing on the US. Europe is rebelling against this garbage; Israel did to a large extent (supply-side success story); Canada is almost Tea Party. It’s a ponzi scheme that will result in people being forced to die.

      • Yeah, the EU is in great shape. Socialism does not work in the end. And US health care is the best in the world. Why do you think people from almost 100 countries come to the US for medical help? You are a fucking idiot.

    • You guys (gop), just seem to be in total denial……totally stupid bunch of f—ing idiots.

  11. Do you really think that Obama is such a bad President when it is Blatantly Obvious that the GOP is doing everything in its power to block anything he does to help fix the US? At least in the Past the GOP would “hide” there true intentions? But now they believe the public to be idiots and not notice this.

And to “The Dude”: trickle down economics has not worked in the last 30years. What makes you think it will work today?

    • You should pay better attention.
The failed “stimulus” bill was passed by the majority Democrats in both chambers of Congress, without one GOP vote, the same for the abominable “ObamaCare.” That’s why the voters turned the Congress out in 2010 and returned it to the GOP, to stop the reckless spending and insane policies of this administration and the donks in Congress.
Pay attention, catch up or shut up.

    • Trying to fix the country? That’s a laugh…more like destroy it.

    • Not one objective comment about what Obama is doing to destroy this Country and what policies of his are not working. Tbeggers all say lets go back to do what we did under bush, and we all really know where that was heading us. Obama came in and stopped the bleeding, despite the record filibusters and gop lies. Some of these people still believe there are death panels in the Health Care Act when the only politician who has implemented any death panels was a Republican Gov. from Az.

I got to laugh at these fools who complain and use the excuse utopia did not appear on the day Obama took office. It will take more the 3 years to fix what Bush did in 8.

      • Get back on your meds and cut CNN off.
Stopped the bleeding? Are you serious?! He is destroying our country…can’t wait until he’s gone.

      • No, Øbummer gave free rein to his fellow ass-clowns in charge of Congress to tax and spend as freely as they have always wished. Then, being the ass-clown he is, applied the theories of the predatory homosexual pedophile Keynes. The sexual deviant credited with destroying the last vestiges of the British Empire who said this:

“By a continuous process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens…and while the process impoverishes many, it actually enriches some…. The process engages all of the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner that not one man in a million can diagnose.” —John Maynard Keynes (1883-1946) From “Economic Consequences of the Peace” 1920

So go back to telling your lies and blaming others for the conditions we now face. The current president is destroying this country as fast as he can in every way possible, which, since the Nov 2010 repudiation of his and the donk controlled Congresses actions, means he is doing most of his damage through administrative action. Such as increasing the regulatory burden on the U.S. by $9.5 billion in just one month, while the debt ceiling was under debate.
All libturds have is Blame Bush…Blame the GOP…Blame the TEA Party, ad infinitum.

      • OK.

Keysian economics, which prolonged the depression.

        A return to stagflation.

        Refusal to reform FANNIE./FREDDIE

A return to racist voting rights enforcement.

        Increased regulation.

        Love your enemies/hate your friends.

        Enough of a list?

Your blind faith blames everything on Bush. In 1929, the intellectuals lost faith in capitalism and turned to fascism and communism. You know what that got us?

    • It works in Israel.

  12. Hmmmm…….. Radical Muslims or members of the Obama Administration….. Which group wants to destroy “our” previously normal way of life and need to be stopped?

  13. 2009 1.4 trillion budget deficit was Bush’s budget, not Obama’s. When Bush left office in Jan 2009, unemployment was at 7.8%. The two charts are totally dishonest. Then of course the GOP have consistently used techniques developed in Europe in the 30′s to sway peoples opinions. That is if you repeat lies often enough, people will begin to believe them. This is proof.

    • We are 14 trillion in debt. Due to OBAMA. He is systematically destroying the fabric this country was built on and is a proven socialist.

Your comment holds no merit. Anyone with a brain can see what this marxist is doing.

    • Bullshit.
The charts are based on accurate information. While the 2009 budget was signed by W, it was written by the donk controlled Congress and it never included the failed stimulus bill, a nearly one trillion dollar transfer of money we didn’t have to create a donk slush fund used primarily to prop up union jobs and pension benefits.
So keep repeating your leftist lies, you obviously believe them.

    • oh dan, you need help

    • And we need a HUGE stimulus to provide for all the welfare recipients that didn’t get their food stamps due to not being able to stand in line from the ground moving for a whole minute and a half!

  14. The unemployment rate was 7.9% and rising the day Bush left office. Anyone who sets out to make a graph of Bushes unemployment rate and uses the single data point of 6.6% during the month of October is being purposefully deceptive. This is what passes for post of the day around here?

  15. I’ve studied CBO documents at length released Wednedsay, Feb. 1, 2011. Your information is completely and utterly false. When stating figures as fact, you really should check your sources directly with unbiased intention and attention to detail to ensure accuracy. This level of inaccuracy completely invalidates you as a viable sourse. Truth is hard to come by these days, why make it harder to find? If Obama is ruining America, the true numbers will show it. You don’t have to lie about it. Go to the Congressional Budget Office Website and see for yourself. Keep in mind, the alternative detrimental brown markings are indicative of occurrences predicted should the current tax breaks continue. http://www.cbo.gov/doc.cfm?index=12039

Here’s the 2011 Federal budget all in one beautiful pie chart. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=378204988860816&set=a.335696723111643.99303.317587111589271&type=1&ref=nf

If you master this, you’ll understand way more than most. The budget year actually started Oct 1, 2010. We kept the government open for half the fiscal year with a series of Continuing Resolutions (aka CRs). And we’re off to the same start using CRs instead of passing a 2012 budget.

Total spending in 2011 was approximately $3.64 Trillion, so each 1% sliver equals about $36 Billion or $36,000 Million. So if someone is suggesting cutting a $3 Million program, they are talking about less than 1/10,000 of 1% of the budget. Not really a serious place to start the conversation. You should be suspicious of their real agenda.

Everything in red is Mandatory spending, meaning it is dictated by existing law and very difficult to change without a Battle Royale. This makes up about 2/3 of the entire budget and includes Social Security 20%, Medicare 13%, Medicaid 8%, other Safety Net programs 10% (unemployment insurance, disability, housing assistance, earned income and child tax credits, etc), and Interest on the long-term debt 7%. Note that Social Security and Medicare have their own dedicated revenue stream through the payroll tax. Social Security’s dedicated tax more than covers its costs so it does not add a dime to the deficit.

Everything in yellow is Discretionary spending, which is what is hammered out each year between Congress and the President. What I found most surprising is that almost all Military spending ($728 Billion), including the two wars, is negotiated each year. And it makes up more than half of our Discretionary spending. That leaves only about 14% of the entire budget —
these little bitty 1% and 2% slivers over here — that make up the “non-defense discretionary” spending often targeted for cuts. It includes vital and stimulative things like Education, Energy, Environment & Science, Veterans Affairs and Transportation. And that’s exactly where the Republicans got $38 billion slashed out of about $255 Billion in the 6-month budget left. That cut is little more than 1% of the entire budget, but it’s a gigantic chunk out of these little slivers.

Note that Foreign Aid (part of the International Affairs sliver) is only about 1% of the budget. In a recent poll, most people mistakenly believe it is a whopping 27% and that just eliminating foreign aid will solve our budget problems.
