Newest ad from Ted Cruz in his bid to replace Kay Baily Hutchison in the US Senate:
Good ad. I like the “proven Conservative” angle he’s taking much better than the “unapologetically Conservative” angle being taken by David Dewhurst who just threw his name in the hat, too.
I can see why some old blue-haired, blue-blooded Dallas/Highland Parks establishment Republicans might endorse, support, and vote for Dewhurst — but I simply don’t understand how any true Conservative can look at these two candidates and not support Ted Cruz for US Senate.

Don’t get down on the HP conservatives in general, I know quite a few staunch conservatives in that area.
They have their share of GOP establishment types, just as River Oaks does.
With Michael Williams dropping out of the race, Ted Cruz is my choice in a crowded field. Other than Tom Leppert, all the candidates for KBH’s seat are better choices than she.
BTW, very good ad.
With Michael Williams out I, too, am looking for someone to support. It sounds like Cruz has some good support here (this being one of the blogs I visit on a regular basis, especially at scum-clearing time).
However, I was informed by a member of my county GOP that he is a supporter of a constitutional convention, which I’ve heard is controversial in some conservative circles (mainly among those supporting Eagle Forum). Is this a potential deal-killer or are the anti-con-cons just making much ado about nothing?
