I’d like to buy Rep. Allen West, easily my favorite person in all of Congress (sorry, Marco Rubio, you are a close second), a beer. Or two. or go riding with the guy (have you seen pictures of him on his motorcycle, compared to Obambi on his woman’s bicycle?).
In case you haven’t read it yet, here is the letter that Rep. West wrote directly to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, after she pulled a classic Democrat/Coward maneuver of attacking their target only once they are clearly out of ear shot:
From: Z112 West, Allen
Sent: Tuesday, July 19, 2011 04:48 PM
To: Wasserman Schultz, Debbie
Cc: McCarthy, Kevin; Blyth, Jonathan; Pelosi, Nancy; Cantor, Eric
Subject: Unprofessional and Inappropriate Sophomoric Behavior from Wasserman-SchultzLook, Debbie, I understand that after I departed the House floor you directed your floor speech comments directly towards me. Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!
I am bringing your actions today to our Majority Leader and Majority Whip and from this time forward, understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior……which dates back to the disgusting protest you ordered at my campaign hqs, October 2010 in Deerfield Beach.
You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!
Steadfast and Loyal
Congressman Allen B West (R-FL)
There is not a bigger man in all of Congress. Nor has there been in a long, long time. 22 years in the United States Army (hooah!), rising to the rank of Lt. Colonel. A Bronze Star awarded for his service. Do you really think he’s going to back down from a fight with a pathetic creature like you, Debbie?
What we need in Congress is a whole lot more of men like Rep. Allen West. And a whole lot less of self-serving, idiotic assclowns like Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.
The Lonely Conservative has video of the obnoxious speech in which Debbie Wasserman-Schultz violated decorum by speaking ill of a member not present:

Thank you Mr. West for your military service and for standing up to this Pelosi clone.
Debbie WaffennSS-Shultz is an idiot of the highest order. Which makes her the perfect choice for DNC chairwoman.
Whenever I have the misfortune of seeing her image or hearing her gender bending voice, I am always reminded that this Congress critter got her masters degree in political campaigning.
Her getting reelected in a lib safe district is the only way she could ever hold this office, or any other. She is weak and worthless.
Rep. West is and has always been a man of honor and a warrior. She put herself on his shit list, a place she really doesn’t want to be.
I think A) the govenment needs about 150 more Allen Wests, Rubios and Bachmanns to get into power and clean these traitorous democrats out once and for all, and B) it’s interesting that the left finds it OK to bash, slander and abuse Republican women (Palin, Bachmann, Condie, etc.) in every way possible without ever standing up for them. Does anyone disagree with West’s assessment of this talking head? She’s so disgraceful they appointed her as the top Dem.
Go West, young man!
Thank you for your service, Mr. West. Debbie W-S is a typical big mouth liberal moron. She shoots off her big mouth and then runs behind someone and says, Don’t hit me, I’m a girl. Really? So are Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman but nobody stands up for them. Stand your ground, Allen West. We are behind you.
Typical libtard…attack someone when they aren’t there…
What a wimp..
OK, I watched the video, and I’ve gotta say I was expecting something way more obnoxious. She’s a partisan Democrat, so of course she’s going to criticize Republicans in a partisan fashion.
She criticized his policy position as against the interests of his district, not him personally. It’s not like she criticized his military service or his family. Seems like pretty weak tea in my book, and you’d think Congressman West–no stranger to strong rhetoric himself–would be a bit thicker skinned.
And is it just me or does it seem a tad hypocritical for you to complain about decorum and the tone of discourse in Congressional politics when in a subsequent post you call for “getting a rope” to deal with the president?
Yikes!
You are overlooking the fact that she was talking behind his back. There is no amount of skin depth required to deal with a petty, ankle-biting attacker.
I’m not overlooking it. There are 435 members of the House, and they’re constantly filtering in and out of the House chamber. Ever watched C-Span? The votes take forever, and many of the debates are not exactly heavy on substance. It’s entirely possible she didn’t know Rep. West had left the floor.
But that’s not really the point. I’m just saying that what Wasserman Schultz actually said doesn’t seem obnoxious enough to have warranted the huge “You are not a lady!” email hissy fit from Rep. West.
I doubt you’ll see her throw a tantrum, even though all these blog commenters are attacking her anonymously and “behind her back.”
Since you aren’t overlooking it, then you are minimizing it.
It just isn’t done, not until now, when mayonnaise hair decided to do it.
Also, this isn’t the first time she has crossed a line that no one else has, as she led a protest outside his HQ during the ’10 campaign.
She is not only not a lady, she has no honor and is a pure political hack.
She already has thrown a hissy, calling on lib women to support her as the victim in this, starting with Andrea Mitchell. She was the one who released the private email to the press, to play the victim in all this.
As for bloggers going after her, big deal. We aren’t members of Congress. She is a vile creature that needs a good smack down and thankfully the unapologetic Rep. West did so.
these bloggers talking about big mouth shultz are not standing in the house of representatives representing the people of the United States. You may say she isn’t representing the United States but she isn’t a state representative but a US representative.
Come on, no2liberals. Do you really think an email Cc’ed to that many people (including members of Congress from both parties) is a “private e-mail”? That’s absurd.
You say “it just isn’t done” that representatives criticize members of the opposing party for voting a certain way. I don’t think that’s true. It’s done ALL THE TIME, by both Democrats and Republicans. That’s what politicians do. Again, Wasserman Schultz didn’t issue an ad hominem attack on West’s character, military service or family. She just criticized his vote. That seems fair. Watch the video of her speech again and pay attention to what she really said. Her speech is really pretty boring, standard issue stuff for a politician, which is why West’s response just seems so bizarre and out of proportion.
What is somewhat notable (although increasingly less so in today’s politics) is a member attacking someone’s else’s character (“vile” “despicable” “You are not a lady” “shut the heck up”).
You’re right about one thing. Bloggers aren’t members of congress and aren’t held to the same standards. But blogs like this one are becoming increasingly influential in politics. When you think about it, is it really any wonder our elected officials engage in rude name calling when that’s all you see on blogs and on cable TV (Fox, MSNBC, etc) and talk radio?
There are some good things about this blog: I appreciate that Robbie posts stories that aren’t always covered in the mainstream media. He’s smart and a good writer, but I feel like he wastes his talent sometimes. If we really want our elected officials to behave better, wouldn’t it be wise to avoid phrases that might be seen as inciting violence (“get a rope” for the president) and forgo hurling juvenile, sexist insults at obnoxious commenters (“little, effeminate girly men”)?
People really do pay attention to blogs like this one, so maybe it’s time for blogs to acknowledge their power and start setting a good example. It probably wouldn’t change the tone in Washington, but it would be a good start and would give the politicians less of an excuse to act like third graders.
Someone said West’s response was akin to “killing a fly with a bazooka.”
Come on yourself. None of those other people released the email, she did.
What is absurd is taking up the false notion that she is somehow the victim in this when she instigated the entire episode.
Del, perhaps you would like to explain why Wasserman-Schultz thought it was proper to hold a rally outside of Congressman West’s campaign headquarters when he was running for office? Or maybe explain why she said that West believe that women were only “oral relief stations” and he didn’t care about women’s rights? Maybe you could research where W-S got that term, since it was never used by West himself?
Or maybe you can explain why W-S said that if it was left up to Republicans “we would all be driving foreign cars”, except that she is too stupid to realize that some enterprising reporter could simply go to the DMV and find out that she drives a “foreign” car? Or why she has said that Republican women want women to die in “back alleys” and not give them reproductive rights (i.e. murder their unborn children)?
W-S likes to poke Republicans with a stick, only this time she poked an old war dog with that stick one too many times and he bit her. Good. She needs to be bitten, and often. She is a vile creature with no class and now she wants to hide behind her “womanhood” when West tells her to fight like the man she thinks she is. If she can’t run with the big dogs, she needs to stay on the porch.
Personally, I don’t think West should have sent her that email. He should have marched right on over to her office, called her out and demanded that if she intends to run her unusually large mouth about him, she better damn well do it to his face otherwise she needs to back off, and pronto. And then proceded to bring ethics charges against her.
But noooooo, instead, W-S, being the whining little bitch she is wants to pay the “victimhood” card because she is a woman. Nevermind that she attacked a man whose shoes she is not fit to shine and who is also black. But I guess it is A-OK for some mentally challenged lib to attack a black veteran.
Who cares that he’s black? Why are you making race an issue?
Wasserman Shultz is your typical commie liberal snob who’s only idea of representing the people is by attacking other representatives who make 100 times more sense than she does. The likes of she and “Queen of the snobs” Barbara Boxer show how pathetic and weak these liberal women really are. Gotta love these commie women!
Congressman West you were right on is calling enough is enough on Wasserman-Shultz…this person has been telling lies since she stepped into Congress. What a poor example to represent the good voters of that Floride district.
Rep. Allen West is absolutely right that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz too much of a coward to say those things to his face. Rep. West would never think of doing that because, as you say, “there is not a bigger man in all of Congress”! If Rep. West wanted to say to personally attack Wasserman-Schultz, he wouldn’t hesitate to say those things right to her face-he’s not afraid like she was! It’s not like he just typed up an email and just sent it to her in order to avoid confronting her face to face . . . oh, wait a minute . . . that’s exactly what he did. Boy, he certainly made her look like a fool, didn’t he?
Men like West scare the piss out of little, effeminate girly men like you, don’t they?
“Steadfast and Loyal” is the motto of the 4th Infantry Division where LTC West commanded 2/20th FA Bn.
All I can say is thank God for men (and women) like Lt. Allen West. But liberals will never understand my statement…
I agree, but must note that it is Lt. Col.(Ret) Allen West, or as I now like to call him, Rep. West.
I’m sure West wouldn’t stand up to a man of his size. If you read what Debbie said she never called him names she talked about his policies, but your big tough MAN had to blow it all out of proportion, make a big deal out of it and I’m sure will end up on FOX bragging and being a victim. Just like Sarah!!!! whine whine whine
Good luck with your Kool-Aid intervention.
Maybe you and west can hand cuff someone at the bar and slap them around..but be careful you can get punched in the mouth trying it out of uniform.
Big ol poo butt.
I didn’t know there were so many that adored Congresswoman Mayonnaise Hair.
This dispicable behavior by Debbie Wassermann Shultz (“unfortunately”) reminds me of the 1950′s and 1960′s mentality of which Debbie is symbolically yelling “HELP ME! THAT BLACK MAN HURT THIS POOR DEFENSLESS LITTLE WHITE GIRL” without actually comming out and saying it. Make him pay!!!
