Why Obama Doesn’t Present a Plan to Create Jobs

More Memeorandum headline blogging. Saw this thread at Memeorandum this morning…:

…and immediately thought, “Because he doesn’t have one.” With zero private industry experience, Obama has never created (nor held) a real job in his life. Not to mention that the government can’t create jobs (other than government jobs); they can only foster an environment that allows private industry to create jobs. And they can best create that environment by getting out of the way.

No need to write an entire essay on the matter, Mr. Reich. (Robert Reich is Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley. He has served in three national administrations, most recently as secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton. So, as you can expect, his opinion on why Obama doesn’t have a plan are a bit … who do you say, FAR LEFT LIBERAL.)

Before I turn to the President, though, let’s be clear: The lousy economy is due to insufficient demand.

The “lousy” economy is due to too much government spending, over regulation of the markets, and a President and Democrat Senate that have no plans to propose, much less pass, a budget. Simply put, our government refuses to cut their addiction to spending our money. Everything else is just a symptom of that.
