Well, I think that pretty much erases any doubt anyone could possible have as to whether or not Obama got this done. In fact, the degree to which he’s destroyed the United States is not only unprecedented, but is the very opposite of “getting it done.”

As Newt Gingrich astutely observed on Twitter:

[blackbirdpie id="99659509756203008"]

And Erik Erikson added this nail to the coffin of the most-failed President in US history:

[blackbirdpie id="99639045679878144"]

Of course, the unhinged Left is trying to spin this as the GOP (and, more precisely, the Tea Party’s) fault. You know, because we’re the one’s who haven’t passed a budget in over 825 days (wait…no we’re not…that would be the Democrat-led Senate). And because we’re the one’s who control the White House (oh, wait…no we’re not…that would be our Socialist Community Organizer in Cheif. Also a Demcorat).

Now, don’t get me wrong, the GOP doesn’t get a total pass. Bushonomics in 07-08 were bad too. And, as Liberals like to remind us, Bush spent like an out-of-control Liberal, too. But yet, if they see that as a problem, why do they think it’s not a problem when Obama followed suit x 1000?

To fix this mess and to recapture the reigns of power in 2012, the GOP needs to reclaim the mantle of small government. Which means that we need to throw out nearly every single incumbent Republican and fill the House, Senate, and White House with actual Conservatives.

And a great place to start will be by replacing Obama with Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) in 2012.

Sure, Perry might have made C’s and D’s in college. But at least we know he actually went to college. (I still can’t believe the unhinged Left is jumping all over the illegal leak of Perry’s transcripts in one breath, while pretending that Obama ever released his with the next).  Unlike our Community Agitator in Cheif, who claims he went to college, but has offered or presented no such proof.

And, while Obama was busy making history securing the nation’s first credit downgrade, Rick Perry has been busy securing an upgrade in Texas’ credit rating. Not to mention that whole “creating jobs” thing that is so baffling to Obama.

At the end of the day, there really is one person responsible for this mess. Only one person who needs to step up, be a man, quit pointing fingers and throwing people under the bus and accept responsibility for his and his party’s mess: Obama.

  1. The economic problems are so simple to see and likewise, easy to correct that I’m surprised liberals don’t have guide dogs.

  2. times as they say..are a changin. This..is gonna SUCK. If the repubs had held out..and pushed through at LEAST 3-4 trillion of immediate, actual and real budget cuts…then it wouldn’t have been downgraded. The DOW also would have taken about a 1000point nose dive in the last 3days either. I don’t expect next week to be much better. You know your in trouble when the CHINESE tell you…”No more excessive debt purchases and financing for you”

  3. And it didn’t even take four years.

  4. Collapse: “It Will Be Sudden and Very Painful”

The United States of America is embroiled in the next Great Depression – and there is no way out. The economy will not, contrary to the opinion of our government and the presstitutes who promote their agendas, recover in a few months. We’re in this for the long haul, as in years and decades not weeks or months, and all of us will soon learn what TEOTWAWKI means.

I need a whole bunch more of this.
    Then one of these…

  6. For the last six months we’ve seen the Tea Party using the unprecedented threat of default of United States debt as a bludgeon to achieve their political goals. I’m no defender of the criminals at S&P but their analysis of the situation seems to have merit: the GOP is no longer committed to paying the bills.

    • What you fail to understand about the merits of the S&P position is that the debt and spending are too high.
The Tea Party is helping to direct people’s attention to the fact that we are broke due to unsustainable debt caused by too much spending.
Default? Because of the debt ceiling? No, default by virtue of the debt pit.

    • You are a fucking idiot. That’s the only answer that’s left for you people.

  7. A timeline of recent events:
    http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_08/a_timeline_of_events031362.php

2009: Barack Obama inherits $1.3 trillion deficit from Bush; Republicans immediately condemn Obama’s fiscal irresponsibility.

2009: Congressional Democrats unveil several domestic policy initiatives — including health care reform, cap and trade, DREAM Act — which would lower the deficit. GOP opposes all of them, while continuing to push for deficit reduction.

September 2010: In Obama’s first fiscal year, the deficit shrinks by $122 billion. Republicans again condemn Obama’s fiscal irresponsibility.

October 2010: S&P endorses the nation’s AAA rating with a stable outlook, saying the United States looks to be in solid fiscal shape for the foreseeable future.

November 2010: Republicans win a U.S. House majority, citing the need for fiscal responsibility.

December 2010: Congressional Republicans demand extension of Bush tax cuts, relying entirely on deficit financing. GOP continues to accuse Obama of fiscal irresponsibility.

March 2011: Congressional Republicans declare intention to hold full faith and credit of the United States hostage — a move without precedent in American history — until massive debt-reduction plan is approved.

July 2011: Obama offers Republicans a $4 trillion debt-reduction deal. GOP refuses, pushes debt-ceiling standoff until the last possible day, rattling international markets.

August 2011: S&P downgrades U.S. debt, citing GOP refusal to consider new revenues. Republicans rejoice and blame Obama for fiscal irresponsibility.

    • Where did you find this copy/paste Angel Fire or from the Krazy Kos Kidz?
Fact, since this administration took office our budget deficit has increased by 30% in 3 years, all going to the national debt.

The three main credit agencies, which also include Moody’s Investor Service and Fitch, had warned during the budget fight that if Congress did not cut spending far enough, the country faced a downgrade. S&P said that it is making the move because the deficit reduction plan passed by Congress on Tuesday did not go far enough to stabilize the country’s debt situation. Moody’s said Friday it was keeping its AAA rating on the nation’s debt, but that it might still lower it.
      AP

And you want to blame W?
Still seeing the world through Kool-Aid colored lenses, I see.

Oh, and S&P is threatening a second downgrade.

Standard & Poor’s analysts warned Saturday that the U.S. government could face a second downgrade if the economy continues to struggle and the government fails to make the cuts outlined in the debt ceiling agreement.

And what cuts are outlined in last week’s Kabuki are insignificant.

  8. I put the source of the timeline pretty clearly at the front of the comment. You have plenty to say about the alleged authority of source but nothing in response to the actual content.

Of course, the deficit has increased during the worst recession in 80 years: tax revenue goes down while expenses increase. In fact, deficits SHOULD increase during a recession: if governments hadn’t been furiously laying off cops, teachers and firemen in the last year and a half since the stimulus stopped providing support to local governments, the unemployment rate would be over one percentage point less.

I’m not sure what you think the origins of the deficit are but this graph may provide clarity. http://www.nytimes.com/imagepages/2011/07/24/opinion/sunday/24editorial_graph2.html?ref=sunday

    • No need to address your time line, it is incomplete, beginning with the huge gaps from the failed “stimulus bill” and ØbummerCare, then there is the auto bailouts.

Your lack of reasoning as to why the deficit has increased so dramatically is just sad. The budget deficit is determined by how much is budgeted, minus how much revenue was taken in. If everyone knows that revenue is declining due to high unemployment, then why has this administration continued to increase the budget? That doesn’t even include the feckless Reid Senate that hasn’t produced a budget(which is required by law) in 822 days.
Continue to defend the indefensible, I just hope they are serving your favorite flavor.

      • Better liberal Kool-aid than GOP moonshine !

      • If everyone knows that revenue is declining due to high unemployment, then why has this administration continued to increase the budget?

To pay for necessary services (including two plus wars)?
        To mitigate human suffering?
To take advantage of historically low interest rates and build needed infrastructure projects?

And the rationale for needlessly cutting services at the very time when they are needed most is?
        A pointless aversion to debt?

The fact that the GOP spent 8 years insanely racking up debt even during an expanding economy shows they have no sincere concern for and less credibility on the issue.

        • Nigga please…..you have been away for a long time pressy….glad you came back…..hahahahah!

Get your facts straight libtard. I know you must stand behind your failed boy king, but you can’t keep pointing the finger at others. Stop spinning, stop making excuses, come back to reality and be intellectually honest.

“The fact that the GOP spent 8 years insanely racking up debt even during an expanding economy shows they have no sincere concern for and less credibility on the issue.

You see, right there is complete bullshit. The debt was racked up when the dims took control of congress. Yes bush signed everything placed in front of him so he takes some of the blame. Regardless, when bush left the debt was on third of what it is today. Honesty….I know it is a very tough thing for a liberal, especially one that believes in revsionist history.

Seriously, good to see you back, glad you weren’t killed by a mob of black thugs.

          GOD BLESS TEXAS!!

        • Preston, you are even more LLL than I remember.
Have your loopy discussion of redistribution of wealth and social justice with other LLL’s that are incapable of being serious about the debt crisis this country faces. Even your boyfriend Øbummer said he would cut the budget deficit in half his first year in office, even though we all know he was lying, he still observed it was a serious enough matter then to lie to those who were concerned about it. If he hadn’t spent our money like a typical leftist there would be no Tea Party, it sprung up in reaction to the reckless spending of this administration and donk controlled Congress.
So thank the pResident for inheriting a AAA rating and getting it downgraded, a credit rating that withstood WWI, the Great Depression, WWII and numerous economic swings since.
          He owns this economy.

        • Honestly, a discussion on the economy and the two of you can’t keep from dropping racist and homophobic comments? Pathetic. Is it any wonder I don’t bother reading your comments?

Now, if you’d like to see what’s causing the debt:
          http://wamo.info/pa/110520_debt.jpg

        • I don’t need to look at some jpeg from a loopy lib like you to know what is causing the debt, I already know.
The government is too big and it spends too much money. Going beyond that simple fact that you struggle with, the government and its spending needs to be cut by 40% if this nation is to survive. It’s time for the host to strike back at the parasites for its own survival.

        • There you go again pressy… why would I think you would have any other tactic than to cry about us calling names and being homophobes. Now that is some funny shit right there (btw, I play in several local and regional bands….many of the performers are gay! oh gasp I bet they would hate to know I am a homphobe!!).

If you truly see racist comments in what I wrote then you are definitely too far gone. I’m so dissapointed in you my friend. I figured with your lofty intellect and the addition of little pressy’s to your tribe that you would actually see things for what they are. Your head is so far in the sand that your butt crack needs sunscreen. Intellectual honesty is the name of the game and you have zero credibility.

Lie by omission….it’s a great tactic that you and your kind have used for years. And of course don’t forget the rvisionist history.

          Take care sweet heart

          GOD BLESS TEXAS!!
