A tale of two groups of young football players. And I’ll go ahead and say it…the actions taken by the these kids are a direct result of the way they were raised and of their respective communities’ moral values.

Forest High Football heroes

Their mammas should be proud for raising such outstanding young men.

First we have these three football players from Forest Park High School in Indiana. First, the headline:

Indiana linemen flip burning pickup truck, save pregnant woman

Then the story:

According to the Dubois County Herald and Forest Park’s football booster club website, Anthony Fischer, Austin Kempf and Ethan Knust were entering Rural King, an Indiana chain of farm and home stores, when a car spun out and was involved in a fiery crash.

After traversing a virtual obstacle course just to get to the crash — the Herald reported that the trio ran through a deep roadside ditch and stomped down a barbed-wire fence just to reach the struggling passengers in the wreck — the linemen helped the driver out of his trapped seat while flames started to lap against his overturned truck. As soon as he was freed, the driver reached back in to rescue his 3-year-old daughter.

That’s when he told the linemen his pregnant wife was trapped inside the truck, and the boys sprang into action. First, the trio got additional help from two other bystanders — an older man in a back brace and a woman in a military uniform — and then coordinated a five-man lift to flip the truck over, all while the automobile’s engine compartment was lapped by flames.

Compare it these thugs and future state penal system residents in Florida, that I wrote about earlier. In fact, the pregnant woman had a greater chance of being robbed by the Sarasota Gators youth football players than she had of being saved by them. Had they encountered her flipped truck with her pinned in it, they’d be much more likely to take her purse, jewelry, and cell phone and run than they would be to stick around and risk personal harm by trying to save her life.

Different cultures, different values.

  1. A great article and story to see when first online.
(Yours is now the 1st blog I check daily)

Those 3 young men set a great example.

It makes a sad statement about society that stories like this are few and far between.
    Thanks for posting !

  2. Good job, boys. Proud of you!
Welcome to the Fraternal Order of Sheepdogs.

  3. the sarasota people, coaches, players and anyone else involved that was on or part of the team, should be band from football for life. these three are what sports heros should strive to be, the pros could take some cues from them as well as the owners and coaches. as a father, I would rather see people like these 3 kids go on to play pro sports, even if they were nowhere as good as the “top” players, and have my kids look up to them then the trash that inhabits the pro sports today.

WAY TO GO GUYS, THIS IS WHAT HUMANITY IS ALL ABOUT!

  4. Fantastic story! This is the sort of thing my 3 nephews would do. Parents were high school sweet hearts, father an officer, loving strong mother…all three boys are almost grown and outstanding citizens. The love and strength of a family with strong moral values produces wonderful people of the future.
Relieving to read stories like this that restore my faith in humanity.
God Bless these wonderful young men for their bravery!

  5. Looks like some more dirty little southern hillbilly racists … lol

    • And you “claim” your white? Regardless of race, this was a disgusting violent act and thank God it’s a felony. Through all these perps on lockdown where they belong.

How shallow to assume all those that hate thugs and thug actions must be below the mason dixxxson line. What narrow minded bullshit.

Did you go to Berkley? Smoking a bowl right now?

      Dumbass…

  6. What fantastic and brave young men! I loved the comment one made when he said that he knew they would be able to do it because it was only a mid sized truck!!! I do strongly suspect that this offensive line will have a bit of a psychological advantage over their opposition this coming season!

I mean, would you want to play against them?!
