Union thug with a baseball bat

A union thug threatening police with a baseball bat. I can think of very few reasons why he shouldn't have been shot.

  • Obama to Hoffa: Gather the troops and build me an army of thugs.
  • Hoffa to Obama: Yes, sir. But don’t forget Barry: you owe us.
  • Obama to Hoffa: I know, Jimmy, I know.
  • Hoffa to his union thugs: Take them sons of bitches out.
  • Union thugs to Hoffa: Yes, sir.

Jimmy Hoffa, opening for Obama in Detroit on Labor Day, exhorted his union thugs (now, officially, Obama’s Army ‘O Thugs) to “take these son of bitches out,” referring to Tea Party members, Conservatives, non-union workers, and…well, anybody who dares oppose their Dear Leader in the White House. Or stands in their way from extorting even more money from their employers.

And it took less than a week for his goons to take his literal words…well…literally:

Hundreds of Longshoremen stormed the Port of Longview early Thursday, overpowered and held security guards, damaged railroad cars, and dumped grain that is the center of a labor dispute, said Longview Police Chief Jim Duscha.

Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, he said.

No one was hurt, and nobody has been arrested. Most of the protesters returned to their union hall after cutting brake lines and spilling grain from car at the EGT terminal, Duscha said.

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union believes it has the right to work at the facility, but the company has hired a contractor that’s staffing a workforce of other union laborers.

Thursday’s violence was first reported by Kelso radio station KLOG.

Police from several agencies in southwest Washington, the Washington State Patrol and Burlington Northern Santa Fe responded to the violence to secure the scene that followed a demonstration Wednesday.

“We’re not surprised,” Duscha said. “A lot of the protesters were telling us this in only the start.”

One sergeant was threatened with baseball bats and retreated, Duscha said. “One officer with hundreds of Longshoremen? He used the better part of discretion.”

The train was the first grain shipment to arrive at Longview. It arrived Wednesday night after police arrested 19 demonstrators who tried to block the tracks. They were led by ILWU International President Robert McEllrath, who said they would return.

The blockade appeared to defy a federal restraining order issued last week against the union after it was accused of assaults and death threats.

The Left Coast Rebel summarizes:

Let me see if I understand: 500 union workers take six security guards hostage for hours, vandalize and destroy private property, and then use baseball bats to threaten police officers who responded to the lawlessness. Yet there’s no mention yet on CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS. Only one very small text link to a story on MSNBC.com.

Nope, no media bias here. These aren’t the droids you were looking for. Move along.

  1. WTF….and NO ONE arrested.

    I have no words.

  2. So sorry off topic but is it true FEMA has moved in and told volunteer firefighters in central TX to Stand Down ?

What in the Bloody Hell is going on ?

    • Lesson #1, never, NEVER, pay attention to Alex Jones. He doesn’t know his butt from a biscut.

Now, here is what is going on in Bastrop County:

For three days, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, local volunteer fire departmenst were on the first lines of the fires. On Wednesday, the U.S. Forestry Service came in. They relieved fire fighters who were not federally certified, as all fire fighters with major (Dallas, Austin, Houston, et al) departments are. For one whole day, it became a turf war between local volunteer fire fighters and the feds. Today, as I spend hours at our local VFD in Bastrop County, it became clear that you “don’t mess with Texans” and the local guys won. There were NO feds at my local FD and they continue to respond as they have since Sunday. I am also best friends with the chief of the Muldoon VFD and have been getting first hand information on the fires since they are involved heavily.

FEMA has limited personell in Bastrop. There is NO FEMA help being given to the residents of the over 1,700 homes that are burned to the ground. On Wednesday, a formal request was made to FEMA to declare the Bastrop fire a national disaster area. That request was ignored, and today, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst made it again and demanded that Obama act on this immediately.

The fires continue to burn, hot spots are flaring up, and Hwy. 71 is closed indefinately. All relief supplies coming in are currently coming from fellow Texans, not FEMA. As of yesterday, the only thing FEMA personell was doing was taking the names of those who had lost everything.

So instead of looking for black helicopters flying over his house, perhaps Alex Jones should fact check first.

    • Also, the article hints that the National Guard was not allowed to help with the fires. That is a blatant lie. As early as Sunday, NG helicopters from Camp Mabry and Camp Swift were flying overhead dropping water. NG were directing traffic, giving aid to the Bastrop County Sheriff’s office and patrolling areas to make sure there were no looters.

      • OK…..I have to say I was skeptical when I saw it was from Alex Jones’ site…..but I thought I’d bring it in anyway.

Good to know that wasn’t accurate.

  3. and so it begins.

  4. I understand the sentiment regarding Hoffa’s inflammatory speech on labor day. The words “take them out” have a very specific meaning in our lexicon.
However, on the matter of the criminal acts committed by the longshoremen, they are an affiliate of the AFL-CIO which has the criminal Richard Trumka as its president. That’s right, the same day of this crime Richard Trumka is sitting in the presidential box with MooChelle listening to B. Hussein run his mouth off about wanting to spend more of our money.
Is it any surprise that there were no arrests?

  5. So much for civility, why doesn’t the messiah keep his people in line like Maxine Waters?

    I say F-em all!

  6. According to Washington State Law – if I am pulled over in my pesonal vehicle, with a baseball bat under the seat, it is determined a “posession of a concealed weapon” due to intent of the objects purpose and use.
(Unless you’re in a softball/baseball league, with corresponding equipment ie; cleats, baseball glove etc.) there is only one intent of the purpose and use of the baseball bat. Might as well carry an axe handle wrapped in barbed wire, same intent and use.

I find it curious that the inbred, booger eating moron in the picture displayed, clearly and by their (his and the unions) own admission, bent on violence without regard, has not been charged with wielding a deadly weapon with the intent to do bodily harm, again, clearly to the law enforcment personnel pictured.

Also, my curiosity continues that I am not currently a union member, do not support the federal government, let alone the corrupt liberal democratic party, that I am not an American Worker?

I am a former union member. My question is how much is enough? Unions take, take and take, yet remain unrelenting until the business is shipped overseas or simply collapses due to financial ability to meet union demands ( for sub par production, product, service and support ) .

I have worked with may ILWU members over the past few decades. My opinion is a majority of the members are ( with exceptions) “stop an electric fan with their tongue” stupid.

Based on the membership and their leadership, including Mr. Hoffa, thank you for proving my point.

  7. Too bad Bobby Kennedy isn’t around to deal with these thugs.
