Froma Harrop

Do guidence counslors automatically steer the least attractive girls to careers as Liberal journalists?

Speaking of exceptionally unattractive women in the Liberal media (see the sidebar, RE: Joan Walsh). The Wall Street Journal brings to our attention one of the most daft (and exceptionally unattractive) women you’re likely to encounter. Ever.

Meet Froma Harrop — “a member of The [Providence] Journal’s editorial board and a syndicated columnist, [who] has been named president of the National Conference of Editorial Writers. The NCEW is a 64-year-old professional organization. Its members include editorial writers, editors, broadcasters and online opinion writers. One of its new missions, the Civility Project, endeavors to improve the quality of political discourse.

It’s actually a worthy endeavor, as the quality of political discourse emanating from the MFM is as vitriolic and acidic as it’s ever been. A toning down of the over-top-rhetoric and name-calling by those who are supposed to be reporting the news is much needed.

So, how’s that toning done of the rhetoric and improving the quality of political discourse going for Ms. Harrop in her role as President of NCEW? Well, not so good…as she’s having trouble getting this political editorial writer to take a step back from the edge — meet Froma Harrop, editoral writer and unhinged Liberal moonbat:

“Make no mistake: The tea party Republicans have engaged in economic terrorism against the United States–threatening to blow up the economy if they don’t get what they want. And like the al-Qaida bombers, what they want is delusional: the dream of restoring some fantasy caliphate. . . . Americans are not supposed to negotiate with terrorists, but that’s what Obama has been doing. . . . That the Republican leadership couldn’t control a small group of ignoramuses in its ranks has brought disgrace on their party. But oddly, Obama’s passivity made it hard for responsible Republicans to control their destructive children. The GOP extremists would ask Obama for his firstborn, and he’d say, ‘OK.’ So they think, why not ask for his second-born, to which he responds, ‘Let’s talk.’ ”

Um…OK. This is such easy bait…wait…I’ll just let The Daily Show do the disemboweling as they try (in vain) to explain “irony” to the schizophrenic mind of the two Fromas:

  1. That goes beyond reality and shows the underlying problems we face today. Are you sure that wasn’t staged?

  2. Oh man that was ridiculous. Either it was totally staged, or she didn’t take him seriously because he’s from the daily show, or this is one very very very stupid woman. Like, breathtakingly stupid.
