An 8th grade (and very likely illegal or anchor baby) disrupted his class demanding his Title 1 form (what the hell is a Title 1 form?) be in Spanish. Since…as he adamantly kept yelling…he’s “Mexican.”
Frustrated with this rude little La Raza brat, the 63-year old 2-time Teacher of the Year blurted out, “Then go back to Mexico.”
A Texas teacher is fighting to keep her job after allegedly telling a Hispanic student to “go back to Mexico,” according to a Fox 4 News story.
Two-time “Teacher of the Year” Shirley Bunn, 63, was handing out Title 1 forms to her 8th grade class at Barnett Junior High School in Arlington, the television station reported. A disruptive student requested a Spanish version of the form, saying, “I’m Mexican. I’m Mexican.”
Bunn told the student that he could get a Spanish version in the main office, but the student continued to repeat, “I’m Mexican,” according to the television station.
Bunn responded, “[Then] go back to Mexico,” according to Fox 4.
There are numerous infuriating aspects to this story. First and foremost is that another good teacher will be ruined because of the illegal-immigrant-pandering and politically-incorrect Liberal administrators who run ruin our public schools.
One of the quickest and surest ways to stem the flood of criminals and illegals pouring across our porous border would be to take away the incentives that bring them here: jobs (first and foremost — make it so difficult and so costly to hire illegal workers that employers will quit doing it), birth-right citizenship, free education and healthcare for illegal children (and once we rescind birth-right citizenship, the children of all illegal immigrants).
In the meantime, good for you Mrs. Bunn, because you’re right — if this kid doesn’t want to become American and doesn’t want to assimilate and learn the language of his new country, he (and his illegal parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents) can take their ungrateful asses back across to their failed homeland.

The teacher is from the Dallas area, not Houston.
And a couple of years ago, I told a kid something similar. Shortly after 9/11, a student said that he would go back to Mexico if he were ever drafted — I suggested that if he didn’t think America was worth fighting for if called, he should do the right thing and go back immediately to the country he obviously loved more and believed to be better.
That’s great…if I heard him say that I would literally be sick to my stomach. Hats off to you “Rhymes!”

i agree , this is stupid if shes chose to be a teacher she should know how kids can be and should learn how to deal with them in an adult manner not in a smart ass remark, because mexicans dont just come to take americans jobs they take whatever kind of job they are hard working people who just come to the U.S in search of a better life.

They also said it was because previously she referred to some jackass students as the mexican mafia in a private conversation to a school counselor. I bet she was right, though. They were a bunch of little gangbangers who will eventually wind up in prison and joining Eme.

Public support for Ms. Bunn has been overwhelmingly positive. We haven’t heard from the Soros funded La Raza cry babies yet.

Sigh…I remember reading and hearing stories like this from way back in time. Where if a kid did this in school he’d get disciplines and a note sent home to his parents explaining what happened. Parent’s who would them promptly slap the child in question and say “You’re an American , you’ll speak English and not disgrace me or our new home like this. and if you pull this disgraceful shit again you won’t be able to sit for a month.”

I can totally understand the teacher having enough of the bullshit in general and speaking her mind in response to the kid.
She didn’t call him a name and used no expletives….so she is being unfairly attacked for exercising her 1st Amendment right.
I am so thankful that when I was in public school in Houston (Elem. & high school) , there was no liberal agenda (not that I can remember being obvious, if so)…..and if a student was rude or nastily sarcastic, the teachers had no problem dressing them down. And no one thought anything of the teachers’ correction of the students.

In high school, if a teacher suspected a female student of not wearing a bra, they had to go to the principal’s office and (reportedly) jump up and down. Word was that if there was too much “movement”, they did not go back to class until a bra was brought to them. The principal then didn’t have a reputation of being a bad guy, that I know of…..It was just an odd rule.
Never happened to me…..it never would have occured to me NOT to wear a bra to school.
Trivia: The classrooms all had hallway side windows along the tops of the walls the length of that wall.
99% of the students and teachers were too short to see into the classrooms thru those windows…but not the Principal then. He was tall enough to casually observe any class just looking thru those top windows and usually was not detected.

I think the student verifies he comes from a low income home and the school gets more bucks from the feds.
A few years ago, I found out through the magic of the internet that the HS I attended had some fancy designation, in that it was in a low economic area but scored high academically. Why? Because education was valued and it was in a district with some of the wealthiest/high scoring schools. There was competition and discipline. I also remember my teachers being extremely well educated.
So, you can throw all the money you want at these little morons but it will never help.
Title 1: Income verification forms; title 1 schools receive additional funding from the fed because the tax-income from the local communitity, used to support the school, can not fully support the economic needs of the school. Forms are provided in English, Spanish, Mandarin/Cantonese, Arabic, and a host of other languages depending on the school district and the families SERVED. It’s standard procedure. It is essential that each child in a designated Title 1 school be counted accurately so that schools can be more equally funded. Teachers working in Title 1 schools benefit from these forms being fill-out by parents and returned to schools; money from these forms keeps teachers working…well, it’s up to each individual to keep their foot out of their mouth…
In DISD there is some unease between black faculty and Hispanic students. Go figure.

Here in Ks the illegals and whole damn Mexican community is demanding restoration of their food stamps for their anchor babies that was based on a formula that resulted in them getting more food stamp benefits than the equivalent in size and income American citizen family. Furthermore the Chamber of Commerce is lobbying to legally allow illegal immigrants to work in the Agricultural AND construction industries despite the fact our construction industry has slowed to a crawl and American citizen construction workers have high unemployment.

I’m a teacher and I get sick of the PC bullshit we have to deal with at school. Good on her I say. I remember when we were doing our school Christmas concert and at the time we had a few Muslim families moving into the area and attending our school and their parents kicked up a fuss about it saying that they did not believe or celebrate Christmas and their children should not be involved and they wanted a teacher hired to look after these children separately during each rehersal. They also hated that we were doing some Xmas activities in the classroom too saying it was inappropriate. WTF, when in Rome I say. If you choose to live in New Zealand, a western country that generally celebrates Christmas traditionally then deal with it, they chose to live here, they were not dragged kicking and screaming. The stupid Principal at the time pampered a bit to them too arghhhh!!!!!

I worked as a librarian at a community college in west texas. We had students just like this kid, who thought they were OWED because they played a sport. The last 2 years I was there, we had 1000 students start there and we graduated 15 at the end of the two years. The rest were not doomed to fail, they failed on their own no matter what was done for them. I had study halls in my library and all the kids did was drool over sports illustrated and shoes on the internet.
I think this was wrong of the teacher to say that on so many levels. I am a Mexican-American so this is an insult to my culture. First of all I think the teacher just misunderstood the boy. The boy probably had bad English and when he was yelling “I’m Mexican” I think he was trying to say I speak Spanish better than I speak English. Second I think it is so funny when people say Mexicans are taking American jobs when the only jobs most Mexicans apply for are farm jobs, you know the jobs Americans don’t really want because you work in the sun and get paid very little ,yeah those jobs. Last but not least if any if any of you cared to pay attention in 8th grade American history you would have learned that Mexico owned California, Texas and New Mexico so All OF YOU MOTHERFUCKERS THAT SAY GO BACK TO MEXICO CAN KISS MY MEXICAN ASS.HOW ABOUT ALL OF YOUR CAUCASIAN ASSES GO BACK TO FUCKING ERUOPE WHERE YOU CAME FROM AND GIVE MEXICO ITS PRIZE
