Obama is probably the most despised and un-respected Commander in Chief in the history of our country. To include the exceptionally hated and unpopular Bill Clinton.
It’s not just that Obama never served. It’s not just that he has a palpable disdain for not only their mission, but the men and women who conduct those missions. It’s not just that Obama embraces our enemies while ostracizing our allies. It’s not just that Obama takes a daily shit on the very Constitution that the men and women of our military have sworn and dedicated their very lives to protect and uphold.
It’s all those things.
If, as Robert Heinlein proposed in one of his books, only those who have served in our country’s military were able to vote, Obama might as well start packing up his personal belongings from the Oval Office and Mee-chelle could start boxing up her tacky personal things from the People’s House. According to a new Gallup poll:
U.S. veterans, about 13% of the adult population and consisting mostly of older men, support Mitt Romney over Barack Obama for president by 58% to 34%.
About 20% of the US Military is black. It’s already well established that blacks will support Obama at ~98% no matter what, based on nothing else than the fact that he is black (half black, anyway). They don’t care that Obama’s policies have resulted in a 28-year high in black unemployment. Blacks have shown that supporting Obama (because he is black) trumps their own religious beliefs and faith.
As Obama’s good friend (and admitted Communist) and former administration official Van Jones said, blacks would support Obama even if he were gay. And that’s not a statement about the tolerance and enlightened views of blacks on homosexuality. Blacks have voted overwhelmingly against gay marriage bills.
So I’m guessing that blacks in the military and black veterans support Obama at the same 98% as do civilian blacks.
Take away that myopic race-based support by black Veterans, and Obama’s lack of support within the Military community would be even more lopsided.
