We Have Become a Nation of Moochers — 110 Million+ Americans Receiving Federal Welfare
This is posted in the Politics category. But is might be better suited for the Crime category.
Obama’s master plan — to turn a majority of Americans into welfare dependant wards of the state, and thus ensuring a block of voters who can continue to vote ever bigger entitlements for themselves off the hard work and sweat of a diminishing number of honest workers — is well under way and, in his own words, is a “raging success.”

Tammy Bruce points us to this horrific graph, which shows that over 100 million Americans — a third of our nation’s citizens — are now receiving Federal welfare:

“The federal government administers nearly 80 different overlapping federal means-tested welfare programs,” the Senate Budget Committee notes. However, the committee states, the figures used in the chart do not include those who are only benefiting from Social Security and/or Medicare.
Food stamps and Medicaid make up a large–and growing–chunk of the more than 100 million recipients. “Among the major means tested welfare programs, since 2000 Medicaid has increased from 34 million people to 54 million in 2011 and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, or food stamps) from 17 million to 45 million in 2011,” says the Senate Budget Committee. “Spending on food stamps alone is projected to reach $800 billion over the next decade.”
Glenn Reynolds, “Like the song says, They’ll Turn Us All Into Beggars ‘Cause They’re Easier To Please.”
That doesn’t even count the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants who are enjoying our lavish welfare system.
And if you doubt that this is by design, then why is Obama spending money adversting how to get more people on Welfare (for fuck’s sake…he was running food stamp ads on Spanish language soap operas). Why is he urging people to hold parties to get more people to sign up for welfare. Freak’n welfare parties, folks.

There’s a bunch of double counting going on there…..
Consider: How many people on foodstamps are also on Medicaid?
This isn’t to say there isn’t a problem here, but you can’t determine the scope of the problem from the information presented.
AND, it doesn’t discuss cost at all. How much is that stuff all worth?
Especially compared to Social Security and Medicare costs which aren’t apparently considered, and why aren’t they including that?
Show me the money. (Well, what the gov’t paid out anyway).
As Edward Tufte would say: “Chart junk”.
As to why the social security isn’t counted…that’s easy. It’s a government [read..con man] administrated savings…that when you retire they’re SUPPOSED to give back to you on a monthly basis. Personally I’d rather hold on to all my money than give it to those disingenuous, lying, diseased camel cocks to administer.
Furthermore, just this year for the first time, people starting to receive SS will receive less than they paid in. That’s hardly welfare Eric.
