A Truly Outstanding Essay–’What I Saw At The Coup’
I started to post the link to this essay on the below post Robbie made.
However, I decided it was too well thought out and too well written not to give it a post of its own here, so that it would always be easy to find for future reference and for sending links.
In the essay(which is long) posted at Western Rifle Shooters Association, the author’s note preceding the post simply states:
Short-fuse fiction by Matt Bracken intended to spread alarm among progressives, in the spirit of dispiriting them from ever attempting such a mad folly in order to cling to power.
It is indeed a cautionary tale for all libturds, be they bureaucrats, politicians or media. Beyond that, it is a compelling scenario all patriots should read and understand, particularly with the potential problems associated with Iran.
I sincerely encourage you all to read this essay in its entirety, as it does have a happy ending.
If the media lies, the media dies.
You take a side, you’re along for the ride.
A traitor in front of a camera is still just a traitor.

Wow. I just read that full essay during my lunch break; one of the best works of short-fiction I’ve read in a long, long time.
The one thing that stood out most to me, the one thing I’ll take away…“The Militia of One.”
I’m going to get a t-shirt with that on it, maybe a patch for my ride vest, too. The Militia of One.
My Gonzalez Flag license plate on my motorcycle already reads 03 PCT, but I think that The Militia of One is an even better symbol of what I believe. And what I know tens of millions of my fellow Americans do, too.
Which reminds me…when I get home, I need to pick up a few more cases of ammo. Just in case.
Thanks for posting this, N2L.
You are most welcome.
My socks were blown off by the content and style the author exhibited.
I like that ‘Militia Of One’ meme, also.
As for purchasing ammo, there is another spike in aggregate demand/supply with the election just over a month away.
I see where Cabelas has a good deal on brass-cased PMC 55gr FMJ .223 for $5.99 a box of 20 plus free shipping. Might have to grab a few boxes for the bug-out shelter.
My carbine has a 1:9 barrel. The 55gr rounds stabilize fine with it, but the 68gr HPBT rounds and my rifle are bestest buds at 100yds and beyond.
For cranking out suppressing fire, though, massive quantities of cheap FMJs are very handy.
