This is about a week old, but still worth posting and reading if you haven’t already. I’m still shocked — scared, actually — by the number of otherwise seemingly-intelligent adults I talk to that have no idea who Valerie Jarrett is. Or that she is the one actually running our country (into the ground).

The Iranian-born Jarrett (her parents were American-born expatriates) is the only staff member who regularly follows the president home from the West Wing to the residence and one of the few people allowed to call the president by his first name.
Her father-in-law, Chicago writer and TV commentator Vernon Jarrett, was an associate of noted communist Frank Marshall Davis, Obama’s mentor during his teen years. When Vernon Jarrett died in 2004, he was given a salute on the pages of People’s Weekly World, a house organ of the Communist Party USA.
Jarrett emerged from the same Chicago cauldron of radicalism where Obama got his ideological baptism. It’s an environment that fostered the likes of Bill Ayers and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Jarrett became Mayor Richard M. Daley’s chief of staff, and it was in that position she hired Michelle Obama to work for Daley.
