UPDATE — With everyone calling Ohio for Obama, this thing is over. Sure there a few more votes here and there to count, but it’s over. I no longer recognize my country. We’re all good and proper fucked. Time to stock up on brass, gold, and guns.
I’ve cracked open a fresh bottle of Jack Daniels. I’ve got Fox News on the tube and TweetDeck blazing away. I’ll be updating this thread as the night goes on with national and Texas results as they are called.
I gotta admit…I’m nervous. Fuck that. I’m scared. We have got to win this tonight, folks. We have to.
Feel free to post your area’s local results/surprises/upsets/trends in the comments section.
US Senate (7:30 p.m.)— It’s early, but not to early for the Texas Tribune to go ahead and give us the good news that the next Senator from Texas is none other than Ted Cruz. Which shows just how racist we Texans are, voting in the Cuban-American over the pasty white Paul Sadler.
In fact, for the drought for Democrats in state-wide races will continue this year, as Republicans are leading big in all state-wide elections.
8:04 — Chuck McDonald, campaign manager for Paul Sadler, just told Fox News that “tonight is going to be a very good night for Democrats in Texas.” Me thinks he is either delusional or does not understand what “good night” means.
Prop 1 — dammit. Looks like this new property tax is going to pass. As I’ve said, Austin’s Liberals never met a tax hike they didn’t love.
Too early to tell just yet, as there are no surprises yet. Florida is going to be really, really close. Virginia looks like it’s in our bag. And it looks like Pennsylvania is going to be really close to (thanks to tons of illegal voting in Philly today).
This is good news. Romney cannot win without Florida and Virginia.

8:00 — National popular vote has Romney at 51% and Obama at 47%. Hmmmm…where have I heard that 47% number before?
8:05 — Fox News just called Michigan for Obama. Not surprising, but this is one I thought we might pick up.
8:14 — Fox News just called Pennsylvania for Obama. That sucks, too, as this is another deep Blue state I was hoping we could flip.
8:56 — And New Hampshire goes to the bad guys. Our path for victory is slipping away folks.

Man, I hope this is true:
And bare in mind, that Chuck Todd is a far-Left moonbat who hates Republicans, so this had to hurt him to say:

Regardless of what happens in the presidential race, the Senate just looks awful. At this rate, we’ll never see a budget again.

Like Dems in ’04, Republicans misread their own increased enthusiasm as evidence that the other side must be demoralized.
