Honda is rolling out a new model of its Fit economy car in Japan — made just for women. It’s called the She’s and comes in a not-at-all stereotypical pink.
The latest marketing ploy in car-crazed Japan is a car made specifically for women.
The newest version of the Honda Fit is a model named She’s. The color is, of course, pink.
According to the carmaker, the windshield cuts 99 percent of UV rays and the plasma cluster A/C system prevents you from getting dry skin and cracked hands.
There are also little tweaks, like pink features on the dashboard and pink stitching in the seats.
Of course you’ll still need a man to change the oil for you…
Well…I guess it’s only fair. Auto manufacturers have been producing vehicles made just for men for decades. We call ‘em “trucks.”
Though, the concept of a car designed and built “just for women” is not a new one. Car makers have been manufacturing “women’s only” cars for a long time, too. We call ‘em Volkswagen Beetles, mini vans, Mazda Miatas, and BMW Z4s.
