Jesse Jackson Jr.

You betchurass I’m the product of riding daddy’s coattails and affirmative action…

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, “Chicago politician resigns amid corruption investigation…”

Despite no public appearances since June, no campaigning, and nothing but speculation about his whereabouts, mental and physical condition, and mounting questions about federal probes into his illegal use of campaign funds…despite all this…Jackson’s constituents still myopically re-elected him to Congress two weeks ago.

Almost everything wrong with the Democrats in general, and black voters specifically, is all wrapped up in the saga of Jesse Jackson Jr.

But, thankfully, he is no longer a member of Congress after resigning today (finally):

“My health issues and treatment regimen have become incompatible with service in the House of Representatives,” Jackson wrote. “Therefore, it is with great regret that I resign as a member of the United States House of Representatives, effective today, in order to focus on restoring my health.”

Jackson also publicly admitted that he’s in deep doo-doo with the feds for stealing campaign money for personal use:

During this journey, I have made my share of mistakes. I am aware of the ongoing federal investigation into my activities and I am doing my best to address the situation responsibly.

You can read the full resignation letter here (if you give a shit).

His replacement (Gov. Quinn will call for a special election within 5 days)?

Yep. You can bet that bank that whomever replaces him will be 1) black, 2) unqualified, 3) just as corrupt as every other politician created by the Chicago machine.

Who scary does this sound:

Either way…I’m just glad that this coattail-riding, race-hustling, drug-addicted, money-stealing thug is gone.

  1. Eh. They’ll just find another coattail-riding, race-hustling, drug-addicted, money-stealing thug to put in his place.
