The idea that a rifle will protect you from tyranny is as laughable as the idea that fucking a different whore every night will protect you from the clap.
Actually, Willem, you’re wrong. You see, it won’t just be me with my rifle fighting tyranny. It will be millions of other Americans also armed with rifles. The knowledge of the sure bloodbath that would ensue if an overweening government attempted to round up all the guns prevents such a thing from ever happening. Law enforcement on the local level, the National Guard and finally professional soldiers would quickly lose interest in a house-to-house roundup of weaponry as their losses mounted. Cops and weekend warriors would become disheartened especially quickly, as they understand best of all just how many privately-controlled arms are out there, and just how outnumbered they really are.
A well-armed citizenry is indeed an effective antidote to tyranny.

You don’t need a $25,000 battery enhanced roller skate to get to work or the store any more than a 550 hp sports/muscle car is necessary for the same trip. It is a matter of freedom and what the Constitution says.
If your intent is to save lives, why not ban automobiles with over 75 horse power, and raise the driving age to 25, and while you are at it outlaw 5 gallon buckets, bathtubs and swimming pools to prevent drownings.
Silly liberal, you can’t control yourself, why do you think sane people will listen when you tell them how to behave.

The big question is: Would I really want to live in a country where terrorists resorted to using guns to settle political issues, rather than using rhetoric and persuasion?
Say what? Terrorists in this country have already been using guns for decades. These terrorists I am referring to are gangbangers and your assortment of criminals. Weere have you been Anon? The moon? Wake up and realize that “terrorists” do not give a rat’s ass what country you want to live in. Why? Because they have bigger fish to fry (with their guns)… So get a gun permit, buy a gun and be ready…
