|Now Pravda Is Giving Us An Opinion On Gun Control||GOP Completely Capitulates to Dem Fiscal Cliff Demands; White House Points and Laughs|
While our government is busy (or not busy at all, as it turns out) driving our country over the fiscal cliff of their own making, I’ll be celebrating with family, food, and drink.
In addition to it being the end of the year, tonight also marks the 11th wedding anniversary of myself and my lovely missus. I’ve been slow smoking a brisket all day (no small feat in this wet, cold weather today). I’ll break open a good bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel bourbon, the wife has some bubbly stuff ready to pop. We’ll head over to one the home of a neighbor for a little community celebration with like-minded friends.
My brother and his brood will join us. I’m sure we’ll be back home by 8:30 or so, which is little Cash’s bedtime. We’ll then (quietly) ring in the new year surrounded by those we love most.
I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe night tonight.
And may we fight like hell in the coming year for those things we hold dear — life, liberty, freedom, and our families.
