UPDATE: Well, the 83rd Lege session is off to an epic-failure of a start as David Simpson has stepped down from the Speaker’s race, defaulting the gavel back to Liberal-loving Joe Straus.

Anyway…he has presented a bill to enact a State Income Tax…”but only on those above $250,000 so they can finally pay their fair share” *headdesk* Now I don’t expect it to get very far. Since that requires a constitutional amendment which needs a 2/3′s majority in the house, 2/3′s majority in the senate and a special election for the citizens to vote and THAT final vote of the citizens for it to pass requires… A 2/3′s majority.
