Sometime over the weekend while I wasn’t paying attention (because, you know, it was the weekend…) my hit counter rolled over the 1,000,000 visitor milestone.
I’m excited about the opportunity to meet so many of my fellow conservative bloggers — it gets lonely here in liberal Austin.
Nah, even the prospect of getting to target shoot wild moonbats probably isn’t enough to justify the extra time off from work.
I’m trying to get approved to become an approved/credentialed media witness for state executions and offender interviews. I think I’m in for an uphill fight, though.
The AP has decided that they don’t like blog links and increased traffic — thus charging blogs $2.50 per word to quote or excerpt their articles.
The blog might be wonky for a bit today as I upgrade (long-overdue) my blogging platform from Wordpress 2.3.1 to 2.51.
The Veterans for America group does look like a pretty solid advocacy group for veterans. And the item they are advertising looks worthwhile for Veterans. I just in no way endorse their “Support Troop Withdrawal” message.
Memo to whoever is in charge of hiring these bloggers — HIRE ME. I’m already doing almost exactly what it is you need done. I’m a veteran, and I’m a blogger. I already have a current and active secret security clearance.
John Hawkins at RightWingNews has put together a list of his Favorite 40 Bloggers. A great list with some great bloggers, many of whom I read on a daily basis and some who I’ll have to check out for the first time.
I use Memeorandum as one of my favorite sources of seeing what the Blogosphere is talking about at any given moment. It’s a useful snapshot of opinions on the days news from all sides of the Blogosphere.
John recommends at least 6 posts per day and a minimum of about 1500 words. Which would be easy if I were a full-time, otherwise-unemployed blogger. But I have a day job. And a wife. And dogs that need walking. And motorcycles that need maintenance.
You might have noticed that my site was down yesterday — with the lovely message that my account “has been suspended”.
