Steven Colbert is a comedic genius. Of course, his shtick is most often directed at making fun of Conservatives and Republicans — so it’s nice to see him turn it on Libs every so often.
Sadly, almost every time a prominent conservative is invited to speak on a university campus — especially at the effete Ivy League schools — they are physically assaulted, heckled relentlessly, or shouted down.
I blame man-made global warming.
And to say “snowiest winter on record” in Wisconsin is really saying something. I lived in Eau Claire and then Antigo, Wisconsin for several years back in the late 80s. And I shoveled a shit-load of snow.
Otherwise, how the hell does John Kerry know that the tornadoes that hit the Southeast United States were “caused by global warming”? Hell the guy doesn’t even know the difference between Cambodia and Vietnam.
But at least we’re not Daytona Beach, Florida — where apparently they are expecting snow. For the first time EVER (or at least in a very, very long time).
So, when you hear another story of Al Gore charging $6000 per minute to give the same ol’ tired Global Warming power-point speech, you have to start to realize that Al Gore has a greater motivation than altruism — it’s called greed.
From the Conference Agenda, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Day 2, the topic is “How to rationalize your own selfish and gi-normous carbon footprint so you don’t feel like such a jet-fuel sucking hypocrite”.
I’ll be Al Gore and his Hollywood buddies aren’t doing any of those things that he wants the rest of us to give up and sacrifice. You know…because of the global warming emergency.
So much for Al Gore’s scientific consensus (which we’ve all known was bunk from the moment he said it) on his man-made global warming theory:
Yeah, yeah, yeah — one frigid summer month in central Texas doesn’t disprove Al Gore’s crack-theory of global warming. Sure doesn’t do much to further the theory or convince the skeptics, does it?
Leonardo DiCaprio — who has a PhD in Meteorology and has devoted his entire life to the study of climate change — has made a film, The 11th Hour, warning that human beings face extinction as a result of the environmental crisis.
I propose we start selling Carbon Offsets for Mars™ as soon as possible…before it’s too late:
I would no sooner send my cash to buy “carbon credits†than I would send my bank account information to some guy named Howgul Abul Arhu in Nigeria.
