Bruce Willis trying to save a Nigerian Christian from Islamists in "Tears of the Sun"
Last night, my wife and I watched Bruce Willis in the 2003 movie Tears of the Sun, about a US NAVY SEAL team (lead by Bruce Willis) who is trying to rescue a bunch of Christians in Nigeria from the blood-thirsty barbarian Muslim soldiers who are trying to find (and kill them).
Of course the movie doesn’t mention that the Nigerian soldier are Koranimals, but they do make it quite obvious that those being raped, beheaded, and otherwise slaughtered are Christians. Their church was burned to the ground and the Muslim soldiers gleefully executed every man, woman, and child they could find.
In case y0u wonder where Hollywood gets it’s plot ideas…they don’t really have to look much farther than reality to find them (especially if you want to make a movie about the horrors and atrocities committed in the name of Islam). Headline via the Daily Telegraph: 20 killed as Nigerian gunmen attack Christian mourners
It was the latest in a series of attacks blamed on radical Islamists who have vowed to wage a religious war on Nigeria’s Christians and drive them from the country’s majority-Muslim north.
Several dozen Christians had come together for a meeting in a town hall in Mubi, in Adamawa state, to mark the deaths the day before of several people killed in the town.
Up to four gunmen surrounded the building and opened fire with Kalashnikov rifles, killing up to 20 people and leaving another 15
badly injured.
“We started hearing many gunshots through the windows,” said Okey Raymond, 48, who was at the meeting.
“Everyone scampered for safety, but the gunmen chanted: ‘God is great God is great’ while shooting at us.”
Just so there is no confusion here…the gunmen were NOT chanting “God is great, God is great.” They were shouting and chanting “Allahu akbar! Allahu akbar!”
