The only possible explanation is that this Congress is trying for single digit approval ratings.
The Dems haven’t done a single other thing that they said they would do in their election promises. Instead, as I predicted, we’re stuck with “investigations and score settlingâ€.
It seems that every time Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) opens his mouth, he lies.
Only six months into it, and this very well could be the most corrupt, inefficient, partisan, — hell, let’s call it what it is — the worst Congress ever.
If the Democrats lose control of Congress in 2008, a big reason will be that their entire election platform was a sack of lies
Is this really the change that ya’ll voted for? Because it really just looks like business as usual from the Dems.
Remember when the new Democratic leadership promised to drain the swamp of corruption, and to run the “cleanest Congress evah”?
Well, if you haven’t figured it out yet — they lied.
how long do we “keep his seat warm” while he recovers (remember, at this point, he hasn’t spoken nor communicated in nearly a month)? What if it’s another 3-4 months (as doctors predict) before he can communicate? What if it’s a year?
That’s not going to happen. Because the race card trumps the do-the-right-thing card every single time in the Congressional Black Caucus.
Amongst those things promised by the Dems — the promises which got them elected — but which the Dems have already lied about or broken their promises (and this is just before they’ve even officially taken power)
The mid-term elections and the shift in Congressional and Senate power back to the Democratic party definitely embodies what was the most important event of 2006. And Nancy is clearly the face (and now the voice) of that shift.
Damn…this blogging-from-a-minority-perspective thing looks like it’s going to be a lot more fun than I had initially expected. Thanks, Nancy.
Speaker Pelosi gave Rep. John “Total Crap” Murtha a political reach-around by trying to strong arm her party into voting for him. Unfortunately for Murtha, Nancy wasn’t able to give him the “happy ending” they were both hoping for.
