The PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Doubles Championships are this weekend in Wimberley, TX (about 45 miles SW of Austin) at the Circle R Ranch.
Life was way too busy, way too full, and way too fun over the last three days. Blogging and computers have been the furthest thing from my mind.
With the opening of the new disc golf course at Steeplechase Park in Kyle, TX (click the image for a larger map of the course) last month, there are now 20 Disc Golf courses within a 31 mile radius of Austin, Texas.
I’m beating my brother Marty by one stroke — so there’s that.
I have a 6:35 a.m. flight from Austin to Nashville tomorrow morning, and then we’re driving from Nashville to Bowling Green, KY
There won’t be any blogging until Sunday night. I’m on my way out the door, heading for the Victoria (TX) Open disc golf tournament this weekend.

Getting ready to leave the office and head straight over to Pease Park to play in the weekly mini (a one round, small entry-fee, weekly tournament, for those of you who don’t know) — one last chance to get in a practice round before this weekend’s Capitol of Texas Open (COTO) disc golf tournament.
As soon [...]
If you can find an audience for juggling, there’s gotta be an even bigger audience for disc golf.
Congratulations to good friend and Austin area disc golfer (disc golf pro shop and disc golf ranch owner, too) Dave Moody on his great finish in the 2005 Boston Marathon.
Last year, my brother Marty and I placed 11th out of 36 teams in our division. This year, I’m proud to report that we improved our 4-round score by 13 throws to finish in 2nd place (5 throws behind Taylor Reid/Blake Betts of Abiline, TX) out of 34 teams in our division.
