I’m leaving bright and early in the morning for the PDGA Amateur World Doubles Disc Golf Championships, which are being held at the Circle R Ranch in San Saba, TX.
After a very long—but fantastic—weekend, I’m finally home from my 4-day trip to Bowling Green, KY for the BG Amateur Disc Golf Championships.
The tournament was a huge success, with 466 amateur players converging on Bowling Green from around the country.

On April 2-3, the first annual Texas Women’s Disc Golf Championships will boast the largest women’s field in the history of the PDGA.
the competitive story of the day was in the Women’s Pro division, where Texas’ newest Lady Pro (Danielle Vargas) shot a smoking even-par morning round at Cameron West to take a 2-stroke lead over Melinda Ring and a 5-stroke lead over World Champion Des Reading.
Didn’t accomplish anything I intended to this weekend. With the exception of enjoying a ton of quality time with my brother and his family.

The 2005 Texas 10 Charity Disc Golf Tour was in danger of being cancelled because of lack of corporate sponsorhip. But the players decided not to let that happen.
Because a lack of a strong corporate sponsor, the most successful tournament series in all of disc golf is being cancelled. UPDATE: Tour is back on for 2005
