Every plane that flew over was an eerie reminder of that day. That, and looking at the South wall of the Pentagon — it’s painfully obvious where the new construction is, as the stone is much lighter and whiter than the original and undamaged stone.
Out of the 25 host cities, Austin finished with the second best average time for all runners — second to only Taipai.
I don’t think the running had as much to do with his death as the “being hit by two 18-wheel trucks and two cars”. Running across a freeway won’t kill you. But being rolled over by a few cars and trucks usually will.
Just another way to combine me geekitude with my exercise.
Anyway, now you can keep up with my progress, laugh at me for being slower than your mother, and cajole me into getting out and running more…
