I’ve been meaning to write a nasty diatribe against the Austin City Council’s assinine decision to ban all plastic bags from the city…starting as early as next year.

And this is exactly why I vote NO on all bond proposals in Austin. Because you can’t trust the crooks on City Council to use the money for what it was designated for

A somewhat surprising (refreshingly so) decision by the normally reliably pro-criminal, pro-minority, anti-law-and-order 100% Liberal Austin City Council, who yesterday voted (4-3) against paying lowlife thug (and now worm food) Nathanial Sanders’ family $750K for their “we gonna get paid” lawsuit:

The Problem: Too much government intruding in our lives, on your bodies, in our homes, and in our pursuit of liberty and happiness. The Answer: Vote them all out.

But thankfully, or State legislature looks out for us Austin Conservatives, and keeps the liberal whackos from damaging us (and our city) to0 much.

So, instead of cutting back on services or unnecessary spending — our fearless leaders are instead proposing to do what Democrats do best: raise taxes

And now — feign surprise — our 100% Democrat City Council is salivating like Rosie O’Donnell and Oprah jostling each other to be first in line at a cup cake buffet to get their hands on some of that golden goose stimulus money

Of course not — remember this is an exceptionally Liberal city council. So they did with it what you would expect Liberals to do with other people’s money: they earmarked it to be redistributed to various social services programs.

Sorry, Lee, but it is socialized medicine. Spin it all you want. Paint it a different color. But it’s still socialized medicine. And it’s still 1) a stupid idea that will result in worse health care for everybody, and 2) not the government’s responsibility.

The Austin City Council, doing what they do best — money grabs — wants to charge a “fitness” user fee for our city’s numerous public parks:
