Michael Yon has the best piece about the General’s resignation that I’ve read so far, and reflects my opinions on the men (namely that we still owe this remarkable man a great deal of gratitude for his service to your nation and his leadership during times of war):

There may not be a single person in this country more qualified and more capable of being President than Gen. Petraeus — the problem is he’s probably too honest and too decent to be President of our country

I’ll keep supporting the troops and their mission as long as General Petraeus says he needs to get the job done. And then I’ll support them some more.
