The state-by-state efforts underscore the federal gridlock on immigration policy. “States are stepping in where the federal government can’t or won’t act,” said Terrill.
But wait…I thought we weren’t allowed to verify immigration status when arresting criminals in Texas (especially here in the sanctuary city of Austin). Has anybody alerted LULAC and the ACLU of this travesty of justice, yet?
First of all, the often repeated number of ILLEGAL immigrants is 8-12 million. I find that number absurd and far too low to be believed, as do many. The 8-12 million number is what was given to us in the 2000 U.S. census, and is what the DHS continues to report. I will be very [...]
I’m sure there are at least 27 unemployed legal US citizens who would have loved to have one of these jobs
month in a small apartment shared by five other day laborers. He had lived there three months, his roommates said Monday.
Uh…what is this “undocumented immigrant” you speak of? Oh, you mean this criminal illegal alien? I guess he was just cutting off the head that Americans are too lazy to cut off themselves, all while coming to America to make a better life for him and his family.
This would be the same Mexican government who is screaming bloody hell about the inhumanity of the United States building a wall between us and the failed 3rd world nation that is Mexico.
Now, the US Government is posting warning signs advising US citizens of the lurking dangers from illegal immigrants and criminals. Rather than actually do anything to secure our borders (post armed US military forces — heavily armed, and in overwhelming numbers — and start shooting anything that tries to walk, crawl, jump, or swim across our borders), or government is instead merely warning us about the dangers present because of their massive fail:
Hmmm…the article doesn’t mention the nationality of the arrested men…but judging by their surnames, I’m guessing they might be Hispanic. Nor does it mention the immigration status of these men. I’m guessing “illegal.”
It’s now the Mexican government’s responsibility to ensure the safe passage of illegal immigrants’ passage into and through Mexico into the United States. I’m sure that the ACLU would also like the US Government to do more to facilitate the safe journey of those illegal immigrants (and Mexico’s own illegal immigrants) into the United States, to include they arrive safe and happy in their new destination cities within the United States…
Time to pull all of our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and put them (and their artillery, tanks, drones, and air craft) on the border. Armed and prepared to defend against any and all illegal border crossers.
Count me in the camp of those who think the time to clarify the 14th Amendment has come. Rewarding those who break our laws by entering our country illegally can now longer be allowed.
From the Center For Immigration Studies comes this report. The hidden camera footage, acquired from a variety of sources, indicates that there is an unfortunate lack of federal law enforcement presence on Arizona’s federal land on the border in Nogales, in the Coronado National Forest (15 miles inside the border), and the Casa Grande Sector [...]
