If I’d known about this earlier, I definitely would have attended, as I rode with the PGR to honor all three of these American heroes and each of them holds a very special place in my memories.
Just before we got into Dripping Springs, I started to see small pockets of people — families mostly — lined up on the side of the road. All flying flags. I began to wonder if someone in the area had gotten word out that the funeral of a Fallen Hero was coming through their town.
SPC Farris will be returned to Texas at Austin Bergstrom International Airport sometime on Thursday, 16 July. The PGR will be involved in this mission to welcome him home and to escort him and his family to the funeral home.
