The owners of this pack of killer dogs should be charged with negligent manslaughter at the very least.
Thankfully for the unidentified woman a responsible citizen (how do I know he was responsible? he has a CHL license) witnessed the attack and pulled out his handgun and shot the dog to save the woman’s life.
The problem with pit bulls though is that they aren’t wired like most other dogs. And when a pit bull snaps, someone usually dies.
That this stray killing machine ignored everyone, including older children, and attacked the smallest and most vulnerable of them all, is a classic example of these beasts.
These are family pets killing killing children in the family. Again, what sane parent with children at home owns a pit bull?
Two amazingly sweet, loving dogs who had never before harmed a fly. In fact, they were famous for how much they “loved children.
I think pit bulls are dangerous dogs. Very often owned by the most irresponsible, barely-literate, under-educated thugs and thug-wannabes.
The story from the Houston Chronicle is — as is typical of so much of the Chron’s reporting — void of much detail. Such as, is the officer OK? Did he shoot the dog dead (hope so)? Did he arrest the owners for harboring a dangerous animal (hope so)?
I’m sure yesterday the Rubidoux family felt the same way and would have said the same thing…
Sorry, but anybody who has children and pit bulls in the same home is negligent. Anybody who has children and pit bulls should be forced to choose one or the other.
Here’s a note to CPS — do not place children into homes that have pit bulls. They are probably safer around their abusive crack head parents than they are around these dogs.
I’m going to go to write every member of our City Council and ask City Council to consider an ordinance banning pitbulls from being off leash anywhere at anytime in the city (other than when on private property).
