While I disagree with nearly every political position Gifford holds, I hope her the very best in her continued recovery.

That she is alive at all is amazing. But she still has a long, long way to go in her recovery. While I hope and pray that she makes a full recovery and is able to continue with her life as normally as possible, I still stand by the assertion that she should resign from her seat in Congress until such time that she is able to go back to work and represent her constituents.

One of them is physically unable to do her job, and will not be capable of doing so anytime soon. The other is not mentally capable of doing his job, and should be getting the help he needs instead of pretending to be a Congressman.

We’re so used to miraculous cures (or convenient and morally sound deaths) on House that I think people don’t realize how amazing this has been.

This is great news. While she’s still in critical condition, any and all improvements are significant.

Doctor: Giffords ‘100 percent’ certain to survive

Again…let me reiterate for you Lefties who need to be beat about the head with a clue bat (not a call for actual beatings, my dearies, but a rhetorical beating…in case you accuse me of inciting violence like you did Sarah Palin): this was the act of a single sick and evil person. Politics and ideology had nothing to do with it, while mental illness had everything to do with it.

There will be far-reaching ramifications from yesterday’s shooting though. The anti-second amendment zealots will use this as an excuse for gun-grabbing legislation.
