Even when we were the held the majority in the Senate, I would have been opposed to ending the ability to filibuster in the Senate. If we’re going to fundamentally change anything about the Senate, it should start and end with repealing the 17th amendment.

Lots of speculation and rumors that Sen. Chris Dodd’s (D-Conn.) bribe to drop his bid for re-election this year (for the good of the party, don’tchaknow?) is to make him the Treasurey Secretary.

Yesterday, Sen. Byron Dorgan was added to the death toll. Today, we have Chris Dodd. Who will be the next Dem to jump ship before we can push them overboard?

Not so in-coincidentally, Sen. Dodd happens to be the largest single recipient of campaign donations form AIG during the 2008 election cycle with $103,100, according to opensecrets.org.

When it actually comes down to standing up and being held accountable for what they believe in, the Democrats will fold. Again.
