Been wanting to get some new ink for a while, and had decided on a black and white portrait of baby Cash. Having seen too many baby-portrait-tattoos-gone-wrong pics (see below), I’ve been researching portrait tattoo artists for a while.

Mike worked on it for 10 hours (that’s a long, long sitting) last month, but it’s a much bigger piece than I had originally anticipated getting done, so it’s going to take another sitting to get it finished.

I’m getting ready to board my flight from Austin to Los Angeles in about an hour, where I’m getting some new ink from renowned artist Mike DeVries at his studio in Northridge.
